Who Will the Seahawks Lose To Free Agency This Offseason?

While Seahawks players coaches and fans alike are likely still putting salve on the open wound that is the heartbreaking Super Bowl 49 outcome, the general manager, scouts et al, there is no rest for the weary.

Since the season ended weeks ago for many teams, those organizations have already gotten the ball rolling in terms of firing and hiring coaches, getting draft boards ready and figuring which free agents to re-sign, which to go after from other teams and so on.

It is no different in Seattle for G.M. John Schneider except that his window has been hampered by a little thing called, well, make a deep run in the postseason.

Of the many decisions to be made to construct the 2015 version of the defending NFC champs, the biggest is locking up star quarterback Russell Wilson followed closely by middle linebacker Bobby Wagner. But there are other free agents who may be tougher to sign, what with the salary cap that the NFL uses.

One such player is "Legion Of Boom" member cornerback Byron Maxwell.  According to Paul Silvi, who reports on the Seahawks all season long, the odds of #41 coming back next year are slim to none which would make him the second player in as many seasons to leave the vaunted "L.O.B." Brandon Browner of the now champion New England Patriots was the first, signing with the team at the end of the 2014 season.
