Sunday night's Seahawks game, televised nationally, was ultimately a letdown for fans in the Northwest, considering the outcome: a 39-32 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.

One bright spot occurred before the opening kickoff that Yakima Valley residents should be proud of, however.

Davis High School graduate Freddie Garza had the honor of singing the National Anthem before the Hawks-Cards tilt on a night that was specifically geared toward honoring America's men and women in the armed services as part of the NFL's "Salute To Service" campaign.

A member of the class of 2000 at Davis, U.S. Air Force Reserve Tech. Sgt. Garza delivered a beautiful rendition of the "Star-Spangled Banner" which was preceded by a moment of silence for those lost in the terrorist attacks in Paris on Friday.

While video of last night's performance has yet to surface, Garza, not a stranger to singing at CenturyLink Field in front of a 60,000-plus audience,  was recorded prior to last November's salute when the Hawks played the New York Giants.
