The Yakima Greenway Foundation, in conjunction with the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife, will host the 15th annual kids "fish-in" on Saturday, April 25, at Sarg Hubbard Park.

Children ages 5-14 are encourage to register early as only 1,000 anglers will be able to participate in the all-day event scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. with the last session ending at 3:45 p.m.

Ten dollars gets the child a 45-minute time slot (first come, first served), a commemorative T-shirt and a rod and reel combo that they get to keep! Bait and tackle will also be provided at no extra cost and many volunteers will be on hand to teach the sport to beginners.

The reflecting pond will be stocked with 5,000 rainbow trout. Participants are allowed a two-catch limit. Any fish caught will be cleaned, bagged and put on ice for transport home. A tasty recipe will also be sent along for good eatin'!
