Yakima USMC Legend Leads Comic Con

Central City Comic Con is going on all this weekend in Yakima, but I've got one of Sunday's presentations circled on my calendar.

I can't wait to meet a TRUE superhero -- Joshua Elliott, a Davis High School graduate and Marine veteran who lost his legs defending our country in Afghanistan but didn't let it keep him down.

He came back from his injuries to become a professional monoskier (like the guy in the photo above), and he recently won a silver medal in New Zealand! Amazing!

Elliott will host a panel from 1-1:45 p.m. Sunday.

Central City Comic Con continues until 7:30 p.m. today (Oct. 24) and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Yakima Convention Center, 10 N. Eighth St.
