Yakima's Octo-Beer Fest Features 9 Local Brewers, 2 Local Bands

Hey, it's finally fall -- the party month. The time of beer, Halloween costumes and ... BEER!

And this year, it's the season of Octo-Beer Fest! The first year of a Yakima celebration that features brews from nine local breweries, eats from the Hop Nation kitchen and two smokin' local bands -- Yakima's Gloom and Ellensburg favorite CobraHawk. The party also includes games and a kids area.

But it's more than a party. Ticket proceeds benefit one of Yakima's favorite concert venues, the Seasons Performance Hall.

It's all going on at Hop Nation Brewing Company, 31 N. First Ave., from 7-10 p.m. on Oct. 13.
