Record-breaking temperatures are a not-so-subtle hint that summer has returned to Yakima. The opening of Franklin Pool is most definitely a welcome relief!

The City of Yakima’s outdoor pool will officially open its doors for the first time this year tomorrow, June 8th, at 12:30 pm. for the three-month-long season. The pool will be open seven days a week  through August 28th.

Recreational swim sessions will be held Monday through Friday from 12:30 pm to 6:30 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. On weekends, just a single session will run from 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm.

Admission is just $2.00 for youth (under 18 years old), $3.75 for adults, and $2.25 for Honored Citizens (62 or older, a Yakima Transit Honored Citizen, State of Washington Handicapped Parking Placard holder, SSI Disabled, or active member of the military). A family (two adults and up to four kids) can cool off for only $13.00.

Discounted three-month passes and 10-visit punch cards are also available.
