YVCC Dental Hygiene Program to Host Annual Free Dental Sealant Day

The Yakima Valley Community College’s Dental Hygiene Program will hold its 22nd Annual Free Dental Sealant Day on Saturday, Feb. 7, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Patients will receive a free visual dental exam, fluoride varnish, and sealants when needed. A sealant is a safe plastic coating that is painted onto teeth that protects teeth from bacteria that can cause cavities. Patients ages 4 to 21 can schedule an appointment between Jan. 12 and Feb. 6. Appointments must be scheduled in advance and children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Spanish interpreters will available.
