2016 Coachella Guide to Performances, Rapper's Set Times and Parties to Attend

Coachella is right around the corner and hip-hop acts such as G-Eazy, Rae Sremmurd, Joey Bada$$, Skepta, DJ Mustard, Ice Cube, A$AP Rocky, Run the Jewels and Vince Staples will be gracing the stage in Indio, Calif.

The three-day event spans two weekends -- April 15 to 17 and 22 to 24 -- at the Empire Polo Club and will feature more than 100 artists hitting the stage. Cube, who is currently tapping into his acting chops with the film Barbershop 3, revealed he has some big plans for the festival. “I got some tricks up my sleeve. I can’t reveal it all,” he said. “But I’m trying to bring the members of N.W.A together. Come with me on the stage. Give everybody a little history lesson on Ice Cube and N.W.A, Westside Connection. Everything I’ve been doing over the years.”

This year, Coachella features more rock and roll-heavy performances compared to the 2015 lineup when Drake closed out the festival with Nicki Minaj and Madonna (who can forget the surprising moment when they kissed?).

But Coachella is more than just seeing your favorite acts on stage; it's an entire experience. There are tons of events by big brands ranging from streetwear to high fashion. These brand-sponsored events -- some exclusive and some open to the public -- range from brunch parties and intimates shows and are all over the Palm Springs Springs and Indio area. Festival Lineup
On Fri., April 15 and 22, the Bay Area's own G-Eazy, turn up duo Rae Sremmurd, Pro Era leader Joey Bada$$, London MC Skepta, Harlem, N.Y.-bred rhymer A$AP Rocky and DJ Mustard are scheduled to kick off the festivities.
N.W.A vet Ice Cube, Run the Jewels featuring Killer Mike and El-P and Long Beach, Calif. native Vince Staples will hit the stage on Sat., April 16 and 23.
When it comes to the final day of the festival, Sun., April 17 and 24 is light on the rap features but Major Lazer, Baauer and Hudson Mohawke are sure to get the crowd on their feet.

Rae Sremmurd, Just Blaze & More at Day Club Palm Springs
Dayclub is back at the desert this year and the lineups for both weekends during Coachella is stacked. Just Blaze, Rae Sremmurd, Dirty South and plenty more will be turning the place upside down at the Hilton Palm Springs Hotel.

Warren G, DJ Premier, Mannie Fresh, FKi's 1st, Just Blaze, Green Lantern and Too $hort will be holding it down at the Coachella Heineken House for both weekends.
Mind of a Genius and Ember Launch Party
Mind of a Genius has been a roll lately with breakout acts THEY. and Gallant. The budding collective will host a launch party with Ember this Saturday (April 16). To RSVP for the party, fans must download the Keyflow app and sign up for the event.
Ace Hotel & Swim Club
The eighth annual Desert Gold free-for-all at the Ace Hotel & Swim Club in Palm Springs kicks off from April 14 to 25. The event will feature many artists, DJs and tons of events such as transcendental meditation sessions and workshops led by the David Lynch Foundation, a pop-up synthesizer lab by Moog and more cameos from the likes of the Do-Over, How Many Virgins?, Know Wave: Don't Cry, Don't Beg and Burger Records.
Kanye's Boy Virgil Abloh and Friends in the Desert
Kanye's boy Virgil Abloh, Brodinski, Alesso, Guillaume Berg, Eclair Fifi and friends will be in the desert spinning on Friday (April 15) from 11 p.m. until the sun comes up.
Jhene Aiko, BJ the Chicago Kid & Soulection at Boiler Room
On Wednesday (April 13), Ray-Ban and Boiler Room bring together Jhene Aiko, Kali Uchis and BJ the Chicago Kid for performances in addition to sets by Soulection DJs for an evening of intimate musical connections.
