It's been 20 years since Black Label Society's debut album, Sonic Brew, was released. Now, there's a new digitally remixed and remastered version of the record on the way and a celebratory North American tour to go along with it.

The news of the reissue coincided with the announcement that Black Label Society's record label, eOne, will be licensing the majority of the BLS back catalog. Stronger Than Death, 1919 Eternal, The Blessed Hellride, Hangover Music Vol. VI, Mafia, and Shot to Hell will all be issued in "never-before released formats" according to a press release.

The tour, dubbed "20 Years of Sonic Brewtality" runs from April 24 through May 23 with support coming from Conan and The Atomic Bitchwax. See the list of stops below and look for tickets go on sale on Feb. 1.

Speaking about the new version of Sonic Brew, Zakk Wylde stated, "The original recording back in 1997 was mastered with high volume, alcohol and dance. We went in and worked off the existing performances and focused on the high volume and dance while replacing the booze with viagra and anabolic steroids.”

The axeman continued, "I wanted to re-blend and re-choreograph this release to be the most brewtal and dance-tactic album since Gloria Gaynor’s 'I Will Survive' dominated the dance floor at Studio 54!"

Sonic Brew - 20th Anniversary Blend 5.99 - 5.19, as the new release is officially called, comes out May 27. It will feature two new bonus tracks: a full band/piano version of "Spoke in the Wheel" and an acoustic version of "Black Pearl."
