The Asking Alexandria/Black Veil Brides tour rolls on, but Sunday night (Feb. 25) one of the co-headliners was not in attendance. According to Black Veil Brides, they were denied entry to Canada as they were en route to their show in Vancouver.

"This morning we arrived at the Canadian border in order to gain access to a country that we have not only played countless shows in but also recorded an album and spent a great deal of time in over the years," starts the band's message to fans. "Several members of our tour were denied entry, berated and treated with utter contempt by the agents on duty. We have been touring internationally for a decade and have never experienced such a lack of civility at any border crossing or passport control in any country we have ever visited. We have a fantastic relationship with our Canadian fans and it’s with a very heavy heart that we must share that tonight’s show in Vancouver will be cancelled."

The tour went on with Asking Alexandria keeping up their headlining date in Vancouver. Refunds were made at the point of purchase for those who wanted them, but the band encouraged their fans to still attend the gig. The good news is that Vancouver was the only Canadian date on the current run, with their remaining shows with Asking Alexandria all taking place in the U.S., but hopefully all issues at the border are worked out before the band returns to Canada.

The trek continues tomorrow night (Feb. 27) in Spokane, Wash. To see all of the remaining dates, click here.
