Despite near-record breaking temperatures in the Yakima Valley today, the next-to-last community get-together on historic Front Street -- Downtown Summer Nights -- will go on as scheduled tonight (Aug. 9).

There will be a misting tent available to help cool off as well as a beer and wine garden but concert goers are advised to bring something to shade themselves and bottled water as well. Food, beverages, activities for youngsters will all be available at this free weekly event which opens at 5:30 p.m.

Musical guests this evening will be Reno/Lake Tahoe band Jelly Bread
headlining Portland's Mbrascatu will open the show.
