More than 100 firefighters remain on the fire lines of the Evans Canyon Fire which is nearly fully contained on this Monday. Fire officials on Saturday told reporters the fire was 90 percent contained hoping for full containment Monday. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The blaze started on Monday afternoon 8 miles north of Naches. Five homes were lost in the fire but no injuries were reported. The fire burned nearly 76,000 acres before firefighters were able to get a handle on the blaze. Firefighters have been doing mop up and restoration work. 130 firefighters remain on the fire lines and in support of firefighters. All evacuation orders were lifted last week. Fire officials say they're thankful for the support they received from communities all around the county.
