Great Prosser Balloon Rally 2026
- Prosser Airport
- 111 Nunn Rd, Prosser, WA 99350 United States
Additional Information
Hot air balloon pilots from all over the Northwest converge on Prosser to take to the skies in their colorful craft.
Balloons launch from the Prosser airport early each morning (arrive around 6:30 a.m. to see the pilots prepare the balloons).
The Rally is always the 4th full weekend in September and is our most popular event, so mark your calendars and plan ahead!
Weather permitting, the balloons will launch from the Prosser airport early each morning. Friday is Journalist Day, Saturday is Sponsor Day and Sunday is a fun day. Spectators are permitted on the launch field to observe the process and are encouraged to arrive by 6:30am.
Hot Air Balloons go where the wind takes them, so their path is unpredictable. With the right weather conditions flight time is usually around an hour, and once in the air they can go north, south, east or west! You can follow along on their flight in your car for some fabulous photo opportunities!
Saturday evening select balloons can be found at Art Fiker Stadium for the Night Glow. Weather permitting, after dark the pilots stand up the balloons, turn off the lights, and GLOW. No flying is involved in the Night Glow.
Annually between 20 and 30 pilots participate in the Great Prosser Balloon Rally.
