If you're on a strict budget after back to school shopping and school pictures, you're going to love the deals for this year's Central Washington State Fair.

The fun kicks off this this Friday with $1 admission and fireworks, but the savings continue all week. From one dollar admission and free parking, to free admission with a food donation, to other special deals, there are several chances to kid the kids their fair fix.


  • The Fair opens at noon on Friday with a special promotion offering free parking and admission for only $1, until 4 p.m.
  • Monday, September 25 is Franz Bread “Pay-One-Price” Day at the Fair. With an empty Franz Bread sack with a neon Fair sticker and $27, fairgoers get into the Fair and unlimited carnival rides from noon until closing.
  • Tuesday, September 26 is Senior, Military and Veteran’s Day at the Fair. $8.00 gate admission all day for seniors 65 and older, as well as members of the military and veterans.
  • Wednesday is Pepsi’s Free Day at the Fair offering free admission to anyone who brings three or more non-perishable food items for donation to Operation Harvest. The offer is good from noon to 4 p.m.
  • September 28 is Pizza Hut’s $3 Thursday. Parking and gate admission is $3 from noon to 4 p.m. Food vendors are also offering food bites for $3 during the promotion times. A receipt from Pizza Hut is needed to redeem the $3 parking and admission.




This year’s Central Washington State Fair runs from September 22-October 1 in Yakima.
