Although some towns in our area don't allow the lighting of fireworks, there are some that still do. It's always a hazard to deal with anything as unpredictable once it's lit but there are a few things you should know before doing so.

Only buy fireworks from licensed vendors.
Use outdoors and way from buildings on flat surfaces only.
Have a bucket of water nearby to toss used fireworks in afterwards.
Light one at a time.
Never throw, pick up or carry in your pocket.
Never fire from a container (like a glass jar).
Adults only, don't let kids light them.
Keep pets indoors.
Clean up all debris when finished.
