First KATS Child Support Payout Goes to Granger

Let's be clear here: Annette Sampson isn't asking Tony Torres for any child support, and she doesn't owe any herself.

Still, the Granger couple say they'll find good use for the $1,000 they won Friday morning in KATS' cash contest, KATS WIll Pay Your Child Support.

The two were in driving into Yakima, checking out yard sales, when they heard the cue to call. Annette says it took her a number of tries -- using her and Tony's phone at the same time -- but she wound up being the lucky caller.

They figure they'll put the money toward bills or maybe a little getaway. Or, since they enjoy yard sales, they can save some of it for Yakima's Biggest Yard Sale, coming up next Saturday at Perry Tech.
