As heard Friday morning on "The Big Show," (with Timmy and Aaron), Thai Rivera graced the KATS airwaves and gave us a sneak peek at the comedy you'll find at the Laugh Lounge Comedy Club this weekend!

Thai will make you uncomfortable in the best way possible. His politically incorrect style of humor has taken the comedy world by storm.

Having moved from Arizona to L.A., Thai quickly became a fixture and force on the comedy scene. A favorite and regular at clubs such as the Hollywood Improv and World Famous Laugh Factory, he started to travel across the country in the most unlikely of places: redneck bars.

He has performed with some of the biggest names in the world of standup. Some of you might recognize him from the Jo Koy Comedy Tour, but he has also been featured on Comedy Central’s "Live At Gotham" and The Logo Network’s "One Night Standup."

While Thai is proud of who and what he is, his disarming style and relaxed delivery will put you at ease. No doubt that by the end of his set you will understand that Thai is a comic who happens to be gay and not a gay comic -- or as he would puts it: “a comic who happens to be a fag and not a fag comic.”

Thai’s comedy has not only taken him across this country, but as far away as Australia and Thule, Greenland, where he performed for our troop.

Look for him at the Laugh Lounge this Friday and Saturday night with feature comedian Alfred Carcieri.

Shows start at 8 both nights with doors opening at 7 p.m. at the club, 1507 N. First St. (inside the Yakima Valley Hotel). Full dinner menu and bar. Check Yakima Laugh Lounge.com for more details and tickets.
