SCE Santa Monica is bringing back God of War 3 in an Olympus-sized Remastered version.

The PlayStation Blog announced that SCE Santa Monica has decided that God of War 3 would look so much better on the current generation of consoles with a 1080p at 60 fps makeover, we're inclined to agree. The God of War franchise has been around for 10 years now and while that may just be a blip in the timeline of some classic game franchises, it's still a pretty big milestone to reach. Because of that, SCE decided that today would be a great day to announce a project that it's been working on behind the scenes — God of War 3 Remastered.

This Remastered version of God of War 3 will help bump this unforgettable action title up to current tech standards. The amount of downloadable content that will be included in the Remastered version is pretty exciting, but SCE isn't stopping there. There will also be a new photo mode coming to the game that will allow players to, "freeze, edit, and share photos of all of Kratos' bloodthirsty exploits." Plus, there will be a whole slew of creative camera and dynamic lighting options to choose from, which will help Kratos' rage look as best as it can.

If you're excited for God of War 3 Remastered, you can check out the screenshots below and the trailer above while you wait for the game to officially release on PlayStation 4 starting July 14. Better tell Zeus that Kratos is looking for him.
