Subway Restaurants in Yakima are No Longer Taking National Coupons

Suppose you find yourself at a local area Subway sometime in the near future because you can't live without those delectable meatball subs or the infamous Subway Club. In that case, they have signs posted both on the doors as well as inside the store at the counter that they are no longer accepting coupons.

What does this mean for you? Well, it means if you get something in the mail saying you can save money on certain types of sandwiches or combo meals or anything like that, they won't work.

You know that disclaimer you sometimes see on coupons or hear in commercials, "prices and participation may vary?" Well, in this case, participation varied and Yakima has opted out of any of those national coupon campaigns.

This is nothing new for Yakima, of course. I remember when Subway used to advertise their $5-dollar footlong promotion several year ago and most of the local Subways would opt out of that promotion. Still didn't stop people from getting their meals. Yes, it would have been nice but since the stores are locally franchised they can do whatever they want.

Like the McRib from Mcdonald's. If the local owners decided that our area locations would not serve the McRib when it's on all the commercials and everything, they don't have to. They don't, but they could.

Same with our local Taco Bell locations. The Chili-Cheese Burrito still exists in some locations but our local Taco Bells don't have it on our many. That needs to change.

Just letting you know up front that if you find a coupon for Subway and you live in Yakima, you may as well just throw it away.
