Yakima Braces For A Sizzling 100-degree Heatwave Ahead
Just when you thought it was safe to turn the AC off...
Just when you thought you didn't quite need to buy a fan, yet...
Just when you thought you could wear pants and a light jacket to work one last time...
Yakima's next 100 degree day is coming back and it's happening sooner than you think.
100 Degrees in Yakima
According to the weather, as predictable as that is, it's looking like July 1st will be a 100 degree temperature day.
June 30, the day before, will get hot as well. Forecast calls for a high of 98 but I bet it'll get to 100 degrees in some areas. This can also change as we get closer to the first of July or when new weather information comes in.
See 5 ways you can beat the summer heat in Yakima. That might help a little.
I know that even if it's 95 or so my car will say it's 100, however that works.
Temperatures will stay in the mid-90s for the rest of the week as well.

This is when Yakima Valley starts to get into that familiar territory of summer sun. Not too many clouds, if any, to protect from direct sunlight and, with that, calls for dangerous conditions not just in the city of Yakima, proper, but its surrounding areas, too.
It's not uncommon for Yakima to have 100 degree days in July as well as August. Often there's a full week of 100 degree days, often in August but the way the weather has already been I could see more 100 degree days in Yakima than ever before.
Stay safe and stay hydrated.
