I took my son to last night's Journey and Asia show at the Yakima Valley Sun Dome. I grew up listening to both band's on the radio and through the years, I've seen Journey many times but the one act I really wanted to share with my son was Asia.
Nothing beats the anticipation of a rock concert. When a bunch of people are standing in line, excitedly waiting to see a band they all love, a kind of impromptu community develops.
Think of it as an in-line community.
Here are some of the folks we met Wednesday night while we were all shivering outside the doors of the Yakima Valley SunDome getting ready to see Journey and Asia ...
So your ears are still ringing this morning and you're so dog-tired that you've already been through three mugs of coffee. You'll live.
And even if you don't, you'll have the satisfaction of knowing that you at least lived to see one of the best rock shows Yakima's had in years -- Journey and Asia packed the Yakima Valley SunDome Wednesday night, delighting a packed house with some signature sound
Asia have announced that their former guitarist, and current Yes member, Steve Howe will return to the band to take part in a series of tribute shows to late frontman John Wetton.
Don't Stop Believin' Yakima!
Journey and special guests Asia will hit the stage at the Yakima Valley Sundome March 15th and more tickets have been released for the upcoming show.
