The Seattle Mariners took their first glimpse into a hopefully brighter future on Thursday (May 13) night when they opened a four-game series at T-Mobile Park in Seattle against the Cleveland Indians with the Major League debuts of top prospects Jarred Kelenic and Logan Gilbert.

Major League Baseball insider Jeff Passan tweeted out on Monday (May 10) that Seattle Mariners coveted top prospect Jarred Kelenic is expected to be called-up from AAA Tacoma to join the big league club when they return to Seattle on Thursday to open a series against the Cleveland Indians.

The Mariners opened their 2021 Cactus League schedule on Monday with a walk-off 5-4 victory over the highly touted San Diego Padres. Phenoms Jarred Kelenic and Julio Rodriguez showed the promise that has them ranked as top prospects in all of Major League Baseball by propelling them to victory.
