Yakima City Council members are expected to talk about rainbow crosswalks during the council meeting Tuesday at Yakima City Hall.

Authorities say they're simply hoping to save lives and prevent drivers from being ticketed.

City officials say if groups decide to paint a specific crosswalk they'll have to provide funding for the painting.
