Sometimes I sit in the hallowed halls of my music library here at "The Monastery of Rock" and wonder "what if?" One recent interesting thought: What songs would be in Elvis' concert set-list today?

August 16th is a big day in the history of Rock-'N-Roll.  In 1977, "The King" passed away.  Elvis Presley's death shocked the world. And it made my then 5 year-old brother wonder why everyone was sad on his birthday.

It’s been 35 years since Elvis Presley died, but the King is still very much a hot commodity. As proof, a pair of Presley’s used underwear will go up for auction in Manchester, England, next month and could fetch tens of thousands of dollars. Oh, and did we mention that the skivvies have visible stains? Eww!

Kid Rock is the latest rocker to sing for the TV show ‘Live From the Artists Den’ and this time it was for a very special performance. The episode was taped at Elvis Presley’s Automobile Museum onsite at Graceland, a location that’s never been filmed for television in the past.
