The End of the Round: Raise an ‘Arnold Palmer’ in Honor of the King

If you love the game of golf like I do, you're maybe stunned at the news. The world of sports is mourning the loss of a legend -- golf's "King" Arnold Palmer has died at the age of 87.

If you grew up during the '50s, '60s or '70s and you were a golf fan, you were more than likely a part of "Arnie's Army" and followed him until his retirement in 2006. He was golf's first superstar in the age of television.

During his PGA touring years, Arnold won 62 tournaments and influenced millions to pick and start swinging the clubs. Arnold was also a visionary pioneer of golf by exposing people around the world to the game he loved. He was the co-founder of the Golf Channel and opened the doors for many businesses to the world of golf. He was so iconic that even had a drink named after him. How cool is that?

For me, the greens don't seem as green today as they were just a moment go.  But now it's time to get the clubs ready, make that tee time, play 18 the way Arnie did -- "go for broke." And at the end of the round, order a nice cool "Arnold Palmer" to enjoy.
