Timmy’s ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

Last Thursday, Ms. Kelly West was named in the ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) 'Ice Bucket Challenge'... she posted the video (by Nicole Marie) on Facebook and immediately challenged me. I saw it shortly after she called me out and all the pieces fell into place. I think I might have the fastest turnaround time between getting called out and doing it before my challenger had done it. So I got my buddies (Aaron Bennett and Nolan Watte on buckets, Scott McLaughlin on camera) in funny together, and I took the splash to the face to help raise money and bring awareness to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).

I am fortunate enough to not have anyone (to the best of my knowledge) in my life affected with this horrible disease. But my hometown of Naches did lose a great teacher, Mr. Godfrey, who taught my brother and many of my friends. I'm donating in his memory to the  ALS Association, which you can help by clicking here.

I challenge a group of people:

-- My good friend, coworker, and Yakima Mayor Micah Cawley (although I have since seen that he's already done it).

-- My cousin  Ian Hubert, who amazes me more and more with his moviemaking skills. I have no doubt that he'll do an epic CGI Ice Bucket Challenge in some form or fashion.

-- I also challenge the panhandler on 16th, because I know he has money.

-- And every lovely lady who owns a white T-shirt! I'm not giving a time-frame ... because well, this video was shot last week, and I was being nice and letting Kelly get hers done first.

But she failed! I did not! And with all of us helping fight ALS ... WE WILL NOT!
