Trivium Unveil ‘The Sin and the Sentence’ Album Details + Video for ‘The Heart From Your Hate’

Trivium have announced details of their new album, The Sin and the Sentence, which is set for release on Oct. 20th, via Roadrunner Records.The band also brings along a new video for the song "The Heart From Your Hate" which can be viewed above.

Recorded with producer Josh Wilbur, who has also worked with Lamb of God and Gojira, at Santa Ana’s Hybrid Studios, The Sin and the Sentence finds Trivium returning with their first new music since their  2015 LP, Silence in the Snow. The album also features the band’s first recordings with new drummer Alex Bent, who joined the band last year.

Earlier this month, Trivium unleashed the record’s title track with a video. The latest clip, for "The Heart From Your Hate," starts out with the band performing in stark black and white before an ominous red filter creeps in, eventually taking over completely. The song itself is a an emotive and forceful one, with frontman Matt Heafy giving an impassioned delivery with his classic vocals powerful as ever.

Trivium are currently wrapping up a summer of European headline dates and appearances at festivals such as Germany’s Wacken Open Air and Poland’s Woodstock Festival, and will make their return to North America this fall on a co-headline tour with Arch Enemy featuring support from While She Sleeps and Fit for an Autopsy.

The tour will kick off on Oct. 27th in Orlando, Fla. and make its way across North America before finishing on Dec. 6 in Houston, Texas. The full list of dates can be found here.
