Washington State Ranked in Top 20 of Most Patriotic States

In a state known for it's awesome firework displays on the beach, in Seattle and right here in town, celebrating freedom, Washington is on the better half of the list of most patriotic states in the United States.

Washington ranked in at number 17. Not bad! I mean, it's not as great as it could be, but better than most.

Top states include New Hampshire, Wyoming, Vermont, Utah and Idaho. I've lived in both Wyoming and Idaho and can confirm both of those states put on an excellent firework show.

Naturally, it's not just 4th of July celebrations that make up this list. They also account military engagement rank, civic engagement rank and even account other lists like most veterans, most peace corps and more.

The three least patriotic are California, New York and New Jersey, in case you're wondering.
