Woman Injured After Suicide Attempt

Yakima Police say a woman who tried to commit suicide is being treated at a Seattle hospital today. Officers found the woman sitting on the railing of the East Yakima Avenue/I-82 overpass just after Noon on Sunday. Traffic was stopped and the officers then tried to talk to the woman but she instead let go of the railing and fell 40 feet to some rocks below.  The woman was rushed to a Yakima hospital and then transferred to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where she's being treated today. The woman hasn't been identified and we do not have an update on her condition.
