Yakima Santa Stops By KATS Early This Year

Earlier this morning on "The Big Show" I was pleasantly surprised to get an early visit from Jolly 'Ol St. Nicholas.

Santa Claus stopped by the studio to see if I had been being a naughty or nice D.J. (for the record, "Naughty")  He also took questions from the listeners like this one via our Facebook page from Rachelle Welch-Tahsequah:

"Why were the reindeer named so annoying and why are they so hard to remember?"

Santa answered all questions with a gleam in his eye.  I even asked if it was true that he had given up smoking a pipe and he confirmed that it was, indeed, true.

He also wanted to get the word out that he will be at Black Bear Frozen Yogurt & Espresso (40th & Summitview) in the Westpark Shopping Center tonight from 7:00 - 9:00 P.M.

He will be reading "'Twas the Night Before Christmas" to the youngsters at 7:30 and again at 8:30.  It is free to attend, and Santa, along with Black Bear, will be giving away free frozen yogurt to those who attend.

There is something magical about Kris Kringle that even turned this soon-to-be 42 year-old into a little boy again.
