49ers’ Head Coach Says He’s OK with Seahawks’ Ticket Policy
Jim Harbaugh says he has no problem with the way the Seattle Seahawks handled sales of tickets to Sunday’s NFC Championship game in Seattle.
The Seahawks have taken some heat over the decision they made to limit sales of the few tickets available to the public for the NFC Championship game versus San Francisco to billing addresses in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana. Alaska, Hawaii, and the Canadian provinces of British Columbia and Alberta. California residents cried foul, saying they had been shut out of a chance to attend the game and cheer for the 49ers.
In an interview with the San Francisco Chronicle, 49ers’ head coach Jim Harbaugh said he had no problem with the Seahawks’ decision.
“I actually respect it – what you’re trying to do for your team, put them in the best possible position to win. I respect that their organization does that for their team. I think they do that in a lot of ways.”
The approximately 3,000 tickets that went on sale to the public on Monday were sold out within minutes.
