Boxer Floyd Mayweather Bets $10 Million on Denver in Super Bowl

According to Vegas Gambling Steam on Twitter, undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather has bet 10 million dollars on the Denver Broncos to beat the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl 48 this coming Sunday.

The Seahawks are currently two point underdogs, so Mayweather has to lay the points to win the bet.

Reports of this are sending shock waves through the gambling industry both legal (Las Vegas) and illegal (offshore).

When a large sum of money is put on either side, the bookmakers have to move the "line" (pointspread) to encourage an even amount of money bet on both teams so that the house doesn't wind up taking a huge loss.

This could make the Seahawks even BIGGER underdogs by week's end.
