On May 17, 1989, Metallica wrapped up a two-night stint at the Koseinekin Hall in Osaka, Japan. This would be the second - and to date, the final - performance in Osaka for the band, and at the time, the fifth time the band toured Japan. With their new disc ‘King Animal’ out today (Nov. 13), Soundgarden gave New York one heck of a preview yesterday. They kicked the day off with a special performance for ‘Live on Letterman’ that was streamed via a live webcast allowing fans around the word to tune in.
