Shortly before the release of Sol Invictus, Faith No More’s first album in nearly 20 years, the Mike Patton-led band played a gig at the Fillmore in Detroit. Now, that performance has been transformed into a live video for album single, “Superhero.” Check it out above.

Faith No More’s North American tour continues tonight (July 30) in Atlanta. They’ll play that show, plus six more, with Refused. They’ll also make appearances at this year’s Riot Fest in Chicago and Aftershock Festival in Sacramento, California. Take a look at the complete itinerary at the bottom of the page.

Sol Invictus arrived back in May following the San Francisco-based metal outfit’s 1997 full-length, Album of the Year. Upon its release, Sol Invictus reached No. 6 on the Billboard Top Albums chart.

“What this tells me is that there is a need out there; people want to hear things that exist outside of the mold,” bassist Bill Gould said of the album’s success in a press release. “It makes me feel grateful and it gives me hope.”
