All State Parks In Washington Are FREE This Weekend
In conjunction with National Get Outdoors Day this Saturday (June 9) and Fishing Day on Sunday (June 10), Washington State Parks will not require a Discover Pass to visit a state park this weekend.
An annual Discover Pass runs $35 while a day pass costs $11.50.
There are four more free days scheduled in 2018:
- Aug. 25 — National Park Service 102nd Birthday
- Sept. 22 — National Public Lands Day
- Nov. 11 — Veterans Day
- Nov. 23 — Autumn day
These free days apply only to day use and not overnight stays or rented facilities. A Discover Pass will still be required on these days to access lands managed by the Washington State Department of Natural Resources and the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife.
