Twenty years is a long time to live with a song, but we're not sure anyone would have guessed the visual treatment that Zakk Wylde and his Black Label Society bandmates have given to the track "Bored to Tears."

The track first appeared on the Black Label Society debut, Sonic Brew, back in 1999, but with Wylde and company deciding to release a "20th Anniversary Blend" of the album next month, they decided to make a video for "Bored to Tears" with director Justin Reich.

The clip, seen below, starts with a fiery open that gives way to a psychedelic performance piece as the band plays against the backdrop of a magical land of rainbows, cupcake castles and pastel colors, all while dancing turtles and cows join in the fun. The confetti-filled confection of their environment contrasts wildly against the gritty vibe of the song, that is until Zakk Wylde accidentally (or not) blows it all up and sends he and the Black Label boys hurtling through space, time and more surreal environs. It's something you just have to take in, once again showcasing Wylde's wicked sense of humor.

Wylde says of the clip, “With the new Black Label Supah-exciting technicolor dream coat high calorie burning video for 'Bored to Tears,' I told Black Label director o' doom & delight, Father Justin Reich, that I wanted to do an 'EXCITING' and 'TOUGH' looking video in the movie genre style of Clint Eastwood & Charles Bronson.”

He later admitted, “After seeing the video, apparently Father Justin Reich doesn’t know who these LEGENDARY FILM ICONS are or has them confused with two other actors named Clint Eastwood & Charles Bronson. Every time I watch this video I’m more confused than I was during the previous viewing.“ Head below to watch the crazy clip.

"Bored to Tears" joins "Spoke in the Wheel" as instant iTunes grat tracks for those downloading the Sonic Brew - 20th anniversary Blend 5.99 - 5.19. Both songs are also available via streaming services. To place your pre-order, head here.
