The first time I received this email (a few months ago) I lost my heart and I remember thinking "Ugh NOT AGAIN!"

Ok.. Ok.. yes, I have gotten a FEW tickets in the mail from traffic cameras. Apparently Seattle and Portland saw me coming every time! So when I saw this in my inbox I lost my heart just a bit, especially knowing that Pasco had recently installed traffic cameras. My mind started racing and I was trying to remember when the last time I "cut it close" on a "yellow" light and the truth be told, I have been a good girl! I have been following speed limit signs, stopping at stops sings, braking instead of FLOORING it on a yellow light, I have really been doing my part!

My innocent behaviour ran through my mind as I read the email and I realized that this might be a scam! As I read the email more thoroughly I discovered where it said, I could dispute the citation in court, they neglected to name not only a courthouse but the city, county or even STATE that the courthouse was in. I marked it as Spam and moved on with my day!

The problem with this scam.. I know it's a scam and you know it's a scam but does your elderly Parents or Grandparents, who still have a dial-up phone, know it's a scam? These criminals prey on our elderly loved ones and I am here to help get the word out! This is a great time to remind your family and friends, if they don't know the source of the email don't click on ANYTHING and report the email! Hopefully your parents or grandparents can avoid falling victim to these crooks. Stay safe out there!
