125 years is a long time for any tradition, so it makes sense that Yakima should enjoy this great week of fun to the fullest possible extent.

Today the fair officials announced they have added a second night of fireworks following such a great response to the fireworks show last Friday.

“Everyone really enjoyed the fireworks Friday night and we felt like another show to kick off our final weekend of our anniversary celebration would be well received,” said Greg Stewart, president and general manager of the Central Washington State Fair.

The fireworks show will be presented at the Coca-Cola Grandstand at 10 p.m. and as was the case last Friday, fairgoers will be able to go into the grandstands and sit down to enjoy the show, fair officials announced.

The final weekend of the Fair offers plenty of other entertainment as well, including the appearance of pop/R&B group En Vogue on Friday at 7:30 p.m.

On Saturday, September 30, country singer Mark Chesnutt will perform at 7:30 p.m.

Two days of Demolition Derby are also scheduled for the final Friday at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday at 2:00 p.m.

All of the entertainment is free with fair admission, but some reserved seats are also available for purchase through the State Fair Park Box Office, all TicketsWest outlets, www.ticketswest.com and charge-by-phone at 800.325.7328 (SEAT).
