St. Timothy’s episcopal church, at 4105 Richey Rd.,  is having a benefit concert this  Saturday, July 16,  at 7:00 pm.   The music will run the gamut of light classical, Jazz, Blues, and Pop. It’s a free concert to attend; though donations will be gladly accepted.

The church supplies meals to Rod’s House and supports Sunrise Outreach Center, the Gilbert School Backpack program, Teen Mom’s program of the Yakima School District, Yakima Online, and Open Door.  One hundred percent of the proceeds from the concert will go to these local programs and all performers are donating their talent and time to support this cause.

The concert is another victory in the war to return to normalcy following the pandemic.  Organizers say this is a continuation of the concert series which was halted by Covid and they encourage everyone to help spread the word that they are back!

Selections on the program include:

His eye is on the Sparrow….Habanera, from Carmen…..‘Til I Hear You Sing, from Love Never Dies…..Stranger in Paradise from Kismet.….Hallelujah…..Bridge Over Troubled Waters…..and Amazing Grace.

Colby Roberts, the new rector at St.Timothy’s, will give a benediction at the start of the concert and refreshments will be served after the concert.  The church’s # is 509-966-7370.
