We're not sure which way you were looking Thursday night, but wherever we looked during the first Downtown Summer Nights event at our new North Front Street location, we saw smiles. People dancing in the street, friends reconnecting, musicians sharing their songs with a two-block-long crowd -- and lots of folks enjoying an easygoing night on the town while they took in nearly three hours of music from The Common Deer and Vaudeville Etiquette.

Yes, after three seasons on Fourth Street a few blocks east, Yakima's favorite street party has a new favorite street. With our longtime sponsor, Stewart Subaru, and our Yakama Legends Casino stage powered by Chinook Music Festival, we packed up and moved. And if Thursday's response is any indication, we've landed in a great spot.
