He was found in California nearly a month later. Quite the trip for Thaddeus. This isn't the first time he's escaped custody since shooting and killing his mom in 2004. In fact, this is his third time escaping custody. He was jailed in California upon being apprehended. Authorities credit the dedication and precision of Community Services Officer Shelly Studebaker for Ziemlak's arrest.
