Gene Wilder Was Amazing — I Couldn’t Have Grown Up Without Him [VIDEO]

I don't think that growing up would have been half as much fun without Gene Wilder. From "Willy Wonka" to "Young Frankenstein" and everything in-between. I bet I say a Gene Wilder quote at least once a month, if not more. "Willy Wonka" will always be my favorite. On countless boring days at my house, which was 16 miles out of the really small town I lived in, I would pretend to be every single character in "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory."

And when I was a kid, it only came on once a year. We did not have the luxury of DVDs or VHS or even cable. It would air sometime around Christmas and no matter what was going on, my brother and I would sit and watch it.

My mom would always let me experiment with cooking stuff in the house to pretend that I was the actual chocolate factory! HA

Gene Wilder died on Aug. 29, and I still miss him. Now that I might have a little extra time on the weekends soon, I am going to have a Gene Wilder-A-Thon!
