Now that he has free time and nothing to do since Disney took over command of "Star Wars" and "Indiana Jones," George Lucas gave a lot of comic book geeks major nerd wood Monday when he stopped by a Times Square comic book store.

"He came in and was browsing the store, looking at the 'Star Wars' stuff. He was only in for about 15 minutes, his driver was waiting outside. Fans were pretty excited to see him and he signed a comic book. He was saying he hadn’t read any of the new 'Star Wars' comics” an employee boasted to the New York Post. He signed a comic book, purchased three new Marvel Star Wars stories and took off.

No word on if he apologized for Jar Jar Binks or not.
