Get ready, Las Vegas, it's about to rock! Live Nation has announced the creation of the Las Rageous music festival, featuring some of the biggest names in hard rock and metal. Godsmack and Avenged Sevenfold will headline the two-day festival, which will take place Friday, April 21, and Saturday, April 22, on two stages set in the heart of iconic downtown Las Vegas.

The Friday bill will find Coheed and Cambria, Anthrax, Killswitch Engage, Of Mice & Men and The Devil Wears Prada joining headliners Godsmack, while Breaking Benjamin, Mastodon, Eagles of Death Metal, All That Remains and Escape the Fate round out the lineup with headliners Avenged Sevenfold on the Saturday bill. And there are more announcements concerning the lineup still to come.

Charlie Benante of Anthrax states, "We are looking forward to playing the Las Rageous festival, planning on making this first-time festival memorable." Ben Burnley of Breaking Benjamin adds, "We’re really excited to be a part of Las Rageous in April. We love playing Vegas and are looking forward to being a part of this new festival."

Las Rageous will take place just off of Las Vegas Boulevard at Third and Carson Streets, with over two city blocks of the historic downtown area being blocked off for the event. In addition, the festival will also include a collection of wandering freak show performers, a showcase of local rock and metal bands and a Vegas scene foodie-focused Food Truck Village.

Pre-sale tickets will go on sale this Thursday (Feb. 2) at 10AM. Those interested can obtain pre-sale passwords by signing up for the Las Rageous email list here. All other tickets will be available to the general public at 10AM local time on Friday, Feb. 3.
