Yakima's State Fair Park will be a busy place this weekend with hundreds of cars on display during the 47th annual Vintiques National Car Show set for Thursday through Sunday.

LOOKING FOR PARTS? ATTEND THE SWAP MEET

The annual gathering of Vintiques draws members from throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond. More than 600 custom and muscle cars and vendors are rolling into the valley this week with thousands of people expected to attend the show. Most of the car are on display for show but some are for sale. The show also offers a chance for those who are building cars to get needed rare parts that can't be found anywhere else at the annual Vintiques Swap Meet.

IT'S NOT JUST A STATIC SHOW LOTS OF EVENTS HAPPEN AS WELL

The show is more than just a static show. Lots of events for members happen through the weekend but also for the public as well. On Friday night it's Hot Rod Races under the lights at Renegade Raceway. Saturday there's an off road challenge planned. It's the second largest event held at the fairgrounds and brings in over $1,000,000 of tourist money into the community over it's 4 day run. The number one event is the Central Washington State Fair.

THE VINTIQUES ARE FUN BUT THEY ALSO HELP THE COMMUNITY

A press release says the Vintiques are a non profit charitable organization in Yakima promoting the car collector hobby and raising money for organizations such as Children's Wishes and Dreams and Rods house. They also sponsor several scholarships such as the YVC Automotive Scholarship that offers scholarships to students in the YVA automotive program.
The 47th annual Vintiques National Car Show is open to the public at Yakima's State Fair Park. The show will be held from 9:00AM to 9:00PM Friday and 8:00AM to 6:00PM on Saturday.
