Is Chili’s Coming to Yakima?

Yakima loves their restaurants and when it comes to more well-known casual dining places, it doesn't get more popular than Chili's. Sure, we have Applebee's and Famous Dave's and Red Robin, but a place probably best known for their baby back ribs (sing along if you know the words), it would be nice to have a Chili's in Yakima. There's one in Spokane so we know they'd do well on the east side of the Cascades. What about Yakima? Well, I reached out to ask about the probability of getting on here. Here's what they said.

We are constantly evaluating restaurant locations. Unfortunately, during our current evaluation our expansion plans do not include the geographic area you mentioned. However, rest assured we review our growth schedule annually and will forward your comments to our real estate department for review and consideration of future plans.

So, unfortunately, nothing set in stone as of this very moment, but I'll hit them up again in about a year after and see if they'll change their tune. In the meantime, support your local existing businesses and restaurants as best you can.
