You are invited to a big event this Saturday at Cowiche Creek Brewing Company. It's the annual Bite the Brewer & Dunk the Deputy - K9 Foundation Yakima Valley Fundraiser. The event is set to start at 1:00 pm complete with live music and K9 demonstrations and good food.

HOW ARE THE K9 PROGRAMS FUNDED IN YAKIMA?

K-9 Officers are busy in the Yakima valley everyday keeping people safe and catching bad guys. But did you know Yakima County depends upon private donations to fund local K9 programs. That's why your participation in an upcoming fundraiser is so important.
The free event will feature officer demonstrations, police vehicle photo ops, raffle prizes and of course: dunking and biting plus live music.

LOTS OF FUN FOR THE ENTIRE FAMILY ON SATURDAY

All the money raised goes to K-9 programs in Yakima through Yakima's K9 Foundation. You can be involved in a number of things to have fun and raise money at the event;
Bite the Brewer: For every $1000 in donations, the foundation's Derrick Nordberg will be taken down by one of the K9s. $1 from every pint sold will be donated to the K9 Foundation Yakima Valley.  The K9 Foundation Yakima Valley will have raffle prizes, swag bags, gift baskets and merchandise available for purchase.

YOU'VE BEEN SUPPORTING THE FOUNDATION SINCE 2021

The K9 Foundation Yakima Valley was started in February of 2021 to support Yakima County law enforcement agencies K-9 programs. The founder of the K9 Foundation Yakima Valley, Fern Hart says she started the foundation after learning that unlike many other law enforcement agencies around the country, Yakima County depends upon private donations to fund local K9 programs. You can help the foundation by donating to the foundation or purchasing plush K9 puppies at The Range, at 1701 Garretson Lane and Earthwise Pet Nutrition Center at 6530 West Nob Hill.
