Time to Fill Up? Gas Prices in Yakima Take a Dip
Driving to the gas station this week? According to GasBuddy's latest survey, the average gas price in Yakima has dropped 4.5 cents per gallon in the last week, with prices averaging $3.94 per gallon. This is great news for drivers, as prices are also lower than they were a month ago by 30.9 cents per gallon and a whopping 64.2 cents per gallon lower than last year.

If you're looking for an even better deal, you can head to Topp Stop in Toppenish, where gas is selling for a cheap $3.53 per gallon. Alternatively, you can stop by Costco in Union Gap, where prices are just $3.59 per gallon.
NOT A LOT OF REASON TO DRIVE TO THE LOWER VALLEY BUT GAS STILL EXPENSIVE
But don't worry if you can't make it out of town to get the best deal - the average gas price in Washington State is still relatively low at $4.34 per gallon.
Nationwide, the picture is slightly different. The national average gas price has risen by 1 cent per gallon in the last week, but is still lower than it was a month ago by 18 cents per gallon and a year ago by 13.8 cents per gallon.
EVEN DIESEL PRICES ARE AT THEIR LOWEST LEVEL SINCE 2022
According to Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, this may be just a temporary pause in the downward trend of gas prices, which could drop again soon. With diesel prices also at their lowest level since January 2022, motorists have plenty to be cheerful about.
