Vote Now: Yakima Seeks Back-to-Back Win in USA Today Awards

If you have favorite wineries in the Yakima Valley why not vote in favor of the entire region? How about a back to back win among the USA Today newspaper's best in America?

The Yakima Valley was voted number one best wine region last year, so why not win again? Our region has been nominated again in the USA Today 10 Best Readers' Choice Awards,  recognizing outstanding wine regions across the country.

Officials with Yakima Valley Tourism are hoping for back-to-back wins for the Yakima wine region--and so to are local winery owners.

20 WINE REGIONS ACROSS AMERICA ARE COMPETING

More than 90 wineries call the Yakima Valley home and we generate many award winning wines year after year.

John Cooper, CEO and President of Yakima Valley Tourism, says the annual awards are decided through public voting between "20 regions in the U.S. selected by a panel of wine experts and journalists."

YAKIMA VALLEY IS A WINE MAKING CAPITAL

Cooper says all those wineries call the Valley home because of the many benefits of living and making wine in the sun-filled Yakima area. He says the Yakima Valley is renowned for its beautiful landscapes and ideal grape-growing climate that produce a variety of award-winning wines.

Cooper also says our region puts the spotlight on things that make the Yakima Valley desirable, including "the climate, outdoor amenities, farm fresh experiences, fine dining, culture and the arts."
