The Central Washington State Fair ends on Sunday, October 4th. These fair days seemed to have flown by. There's still time to experience the fair while the weather is perfect. If you don't want to deal with paying for parking, catch one of the free rides at the fair from these two Union Gap locations.

The remaining hours of the fair are Friday: Noon - 11 p.m., Saturday: Noon - 11 p.m., and Sunday: Noon - 9 p.m.

New Things to See, Do, and Eat This Year at the Fair

I got to be one of the first few people to enter the fair when it opened, so I got a closeup look at some of the best things to see, do, and eat at the fair.

What to Eat

My favoirite fair food sweet treat this year is the deep-fried Ganzito; it's a snack cake you can find in the Hispanic Foods section of your local grocery store and it's filled with a tasty chocoalte and vanilla cream filling. Foodies who crave savory foods will likely enjoy the new deconstructed jalapeno popper curly fries booth.

What to See

I stopped by the wild animal exhibit and peek at the crocodile, which I only recommend if you've never seen one up close before.

You also need to feast your eyes on what I'm calling "The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown". It's as big as small bear cub!

What to Do

Take a camel ride, feed the adorable goats at the goat farm inside "Farmville", and get a caricature of yourself before you leave the fair.

I also recommend you stop by the Ag building so that you can view the 4-H fashion category winners and the America 250 grange display.

Admission tickets to the fair are $15 and unlimited carnival wristbands are $45 each.
